Established in 1996, The PAC Dance Theater Troupe comprises of 20 male
& female performers who are trained in classical ballet, jazz &
contemporary dance techniques, in addition to traditional Jordanian folk dance.
The troupe has performed extensively in local, regional & international
events, performing in various dance styles & techniques.
The PAC Dance Troupe annually performs at the opening ceremony
of The annual Arab Children Congress to original choreography according to the
theme of the congress and cooperate regularly with the National TIE Troupe to
produce one musical play annually.
Major professional dance performances are: Crescent Night, Solitude,
Unveiling the Secrets of the Dead Sea, Jerusalem & Fusion. Dance
School
Accredited by The Royal Academy of Dance, Great Britain,
the dance department not only offers training in classical ballet but is also
developing unique and original interpretations of Jordanian folklore dance;
integrating traditional folk with contemporary dance to folk tunes and classical
Arabic music.
Students of the dance department present The Royal Academy of
Dance examinations annually in addition to receiving training in contemporary
dance based on the Limon technique.
Major dance productions performed by the students are: Romeo and Juliet, Swan
Lake, Giselle, Cinderella, The Golden Apple, The Nut Cracker &The History of
Dance. Time and place
Classes are held
four times a week (Sunday, Monday,
Tuesday & Wednesday) for 1 academic year Ballet classes: 4:30 PM onwards Contemporary dance classes for adults & teens:
7:30-8:45 PM(Monday & Wednesday) Students
can enroll starting at the age of 4 and above (Map
